Shin-Soo Choo's DUI Arrest Included Failed Breathalyzer Over Twice Legal Limit

Shin-Soo Choo's DUI arrest early Monday morning is being uncovered as more people get word of the incident the Cleveland Indians outfielder was involved in. Unfortunately, the new rumblings being uncovered paint a pretty ugly picture for a player that was voted as the Most Underrated in the MLB earlier in the day.

According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Choo was stopped on Lake Road (Route 6) at 2:25 a.m. when a police officer saw his car weaving on the road.

"The officer smelled alcohol on the driver's breath," Sheffield Lake Law Director David Graves told the Plain Dealer. "He performed a field sobriety test and was taken back to the police test. Police said he also failed a Breathalzyer test, registering a .20, (which is more than twice the legal limit of .08.)."

It's great that Choo didn't hurt anyone considering his blood-alcohol level, but he's lucky that he stopped alongside the road earlier in the evening so that an officer was able to follow him before anything worse happened.

Graves said the same officer talked to Choo a little earlier in the evening. Choo had stopped his car on Route 6 and told the officer that he was trying to find his way to his home in Avon Lake. The officer followed Choo when he drove off, and pulled him over when he noticed the car weaving.

Regardless, it does sound like Choo will be in the starting lineup Tuesday evening.
