The Indians picked a potential shortstop for the future on Monday night in the 2011 MLB Draft, selecting Francisco Lindor, 17, from Montverde Academy in Florida.
Lindor was rated the top high school prospect of 2011 overall. It is said that he reminds one of Omar Vizquel with both the stick and with the glove.
Of course someone this young will need seasoning and that seasoning may take awhile. But the Indians may have solved any shortstop problems in the foreseeable future with this pick.
Further details on Lindor as well as details on forthcoming Tribe picks will be covered in further updates tomorrow.
