Columbus Clippers Starter Justin Germano Throws Perfect Game

While the Cleveland Indians were losing a heartbreaker down at Progressive Field to the Anaheim Angels, the team's AAA affiliate in Columbus was celebrating quite an accomplishment of its own.  Starter Justin Germano, who spent some time this season with the big league club, pitched a perfect game in a 3-0 win over Syracuse.

Germano's Perfecto was the first in Columbus Clippers' history and the first one thrown in the International League since 2003.  It was the 6th no-hitter in Clippers history as well.

After getting the first two batters of the ninth inning to fly out, Germano finished off his masterpiece in style by striking out Corey Brown.

Hermano improved to 1-2 on the season and needed just 95 pitches to mow down 27 Syracuse Chiefs in order.  Germano struck out 7.  After the game, the Clippers celebrated the achievement in true minor league style, giving Germano a beer-bath inside the locker room.  Congratulations!
