Welcome to the first installment of Indians 'Hits'. This will be a place to look for the latest news on transactions, injury reports, etc. So, without further ado...
↵The Indians have called up infielder Luis Valbuena and sent pitcher Zach McAllister back to Columbus after McAllister's major league debut on Thursday night.
↵With uncertainly over Lonnie Chisenhall's status after being hit in the helmet and face by a pitch last night, Valbuena brings a steady glove to the Tribe infield. Valbuena is a career .227 hitter and appeared in 194 games for Cleveland spanning the 2009 and 2010 seasons, hitting 12 homers and driving in 55 runs.
