The Indians have called up infielder Luis Valbuena and sent pitcher Zach McAllister back to Columbus after McAllister's major league debut on Thursday night.

With uncertainly over Lonnie Chisenhall's status after being hit in the helmet and face by a pitch last night, Valbuena brings a steady glove to the Tribe infield. Valbuena is a career .227 hitter and appeared in 194 games for Cleveland spanning the 2009 and 2010 seasons, hitting 12 homers and driving in 55 runs.
