Woof. The Indians certainly looked like they played almost two games last night. Fausto Carmona gave the Tribe six innings, but an error by recently called-up Jerad Head hurt, as Carmona exited and Nick Hagadone was called on to clean up the mess.
Hagadone got out of a bases-loaded jam, giving up just one run in his first inning in the majors, but ran out of steam in his second inning, surrendering two hits and a walk. Corey Kluber, also in his first major league inning, was not able to keep the slate clean, allowing all three inherited runs to score before striking out Brandon Allen to stop the bleeding.
The Tribe then quickly went down 1-2-3 in the bottom of the eighth.
