MLB trade rumors: Dodgers, Indians reportedly discussing deal for Dee Gordon

Dee Gordon is reportedly on Cleveland's radar, as trade rumors continue to heat up at baseball's annual Winter Meetings.

The Cleveland Indians and Los Angeles Dodgers are reportedly discussing a trade that would bring Dodgers shortstop Dee Gordon to Cleveland -- presumably to replace Asdrubal Cabrera, who has been mentioned in trade rumors with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Gordon hit just .228/.280/.281 in 303 at-bats for the Dodgers in 2012, and missed a large portion of the season because of a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right thumb. Gordon, who turns 25 in April, still managed to steal 32 bases in 2012, and is certainly one of the fastest players in baseball.

Still, Gordon is considered expendable for the Dodgers, as Los Angeles is planning to play Hanley Ramirez at shortstop in 2013.

Prior to the 2011 season, Gordon was ranked the No. 26 prospect in all of baseball by Baseball America, and certainly still has plenty of potential to develop into a quality shortstop.

Rumors have heated up with the Indians and Diamondbacks regarding Cabrera, including a potential four-team trade that would send Justin Upton to the Texas Rangers, and Cabrera to the D'Backs.

It's unknown who the Indians would send to the Dodgers in exchange for Gordon.
