The Cleveland Indians started the process of installing a giant wind turbine on top of Progressive Field. It's an innovative step targeted at reducing costs, providing an alternative power source, and a proliferation of Russell Branyan jokes. The turbine will be mounted on the southeast corner of the stadium and will be lit up by LED lights at night. It was originally conceived and designed by a research team at Cleveland State. The Indians say that it will be fully functional and operating by Opening Day on April 5th against the Blue Jays
