The Cleveland Indians wrap up their four-game series with the Boston Red Sox on Sunday.
The Indians, who despite two straight losses still have a two-game lead in the AL Central, will send Justin Masterson to the hill in the series finale. Masterson is 1-2 through seven starts with a 4.89 ERA, but he's been better of late. In two May starts, Masterson is 1-0 and has given up five runs in 12.1 innings. He does have eight walks in those 12 innings but has been able to limit the damage.
Daniel Bard will start for the Red Sox, who at 14-19 are buried in last place in the AL East. Bard is the inverse of Masterson. He started the season strong but May hasn't been kind. In two May starts he is 0-2 and has given up nine runs in 12.1 innings. Those nine runs are one more than he gave up in four April starts.
After Boston, the Tribe heads to Minnesota for a two-game series with the Twins, who at 9-24 own the worst record in the league.
First pitch Sunday is set for 1:35 ET.
