Indians Vs. Red Sox Score Update: Boston Ahead 5-1 After Three Innings

Cleveland Indians starter Justin Masterson was knocked around before he could even get into a groove on Sunday, and surrendered four runs in his very first inning against Boston Red Sox hitters.

Masterson, who gave up a solo home run to Will Middlebrooks in the third inning to give Cleveland a 5-1 deficit, has allowed five hits and has yet to strike out a single batter.

Infielder Asdrubal Cabrera plated the sole Indians run of the day on a single off Red Sox starter Daniel Bard in the top of the third that scored No. 9 hitter Jack Hannahan, but has not received any help from his teammates. Bard, who has also been quite wild despite giving up just one run, issued four free passes to Cleveland batters in the first three frames.
