Indians Vs. Mariners: Cleveland Sends Zach McAllister To The Hill Against Seattle

The Cleveland Indians look to continue their hot streak Thursday afternoon when they host the Seattle Mariners.

The Indians pounded the Mariners 9-3 on Wednesday and will be going for their fourth straight win overall. Cleveland had lost five of six before winning two games in Minnesota and taking the series opener with the Mariners.

The Indians, 21-16, bumped their AL Central lead over the Detroit Tigers to three games after Wednesday's bloodletting.

Twenty-four-year-old Zach McAllister, 1-1, will be making his third start this season for the Tribe. In his first start, McAllister pitched 6.0 innings and struck out five while giving up two earned runs. Last time out he had a handful of strikeouts -- eight through 7.0 innings -- but surrendered four earned runs and took the loss.

The Mariners will counter with Hector Noesi, who has gotten knocked around all season. Noesi has a 6.32 ERA and gave up five earned runs in 7.0 innings in his last outing.

First pitch Thursday is scheduled for 12:05 Eastern.
