Losers of three straight games, the Cleveland Indians are starting to feel the heat as first place in the AL Central looks to be slipping out of their grasp.
But with the last-place Royals in town for a three-game series, it's vital that manager Manny Acta is able to shore up a pitching staff that was absolutely pounded for 35 runs in the weekend sweep with Chicago. Recently called-up starter Josh Tomlin will toe the rubber for the first time in three weeks, and will aim to lower the 4.67 ERA he posted in six appearances (five starts) earlier in the season.
Called up earlier in the afternoon, infielder Lonnie Chisenhall will assume the No. 7 spot in the order and occupy the DH position in his first game back in the bigs. Chisenhall hit seven homers over 66 games with the Indians last year, but will be making his first appearance of 2012 in Monday's game.
Here are the starting lineups for Memorial Day:
2. Michael Brantley - CF
Josh Tomlin - SP
4. Mike Moustakas - 3B
5. Jeff Francoeur - RF
7. Brayan Pena - C
