Indians Vs. White Sox: Rain Delays Second Game Of Doubleheader

With the Indians currently leading the Chicago White Sox in the second game of their day-night doubleheader, 2-1, the game has been stopped due to rain. The tarp went on the field at or around 9:09 p.m. ET and there is currently no word on how long the delay is expected to last.

The game is in the top of the eighth inning and the White Sox have two runners on with one out and Alex Rios up to the plate against Indians' reliever Dan Wheeler, who had just replaced Indians starter Josh Tomlin.

Tomlin went seven-plus innings and gave up the lone run, but is obviously responsible for both base runners when the game resumes. Tomlin struck out eight and walked two while giving up five hits in his 7.1 innings of work.

The Indians won 8-6 Monday afternoon in the first game.
