With third baseman Lonnie Chisenhall sidelined after fracturing the ulna in his right arm on Friday, the Cleveland Indians have called up Jason Donald as a temporary replacement. According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Donald arrived in Baltimore on Saturday and will be in uniform for the Indians' 4:05 game against the Orioles.
The 27-year-old Donald started the year as a utility infielder with Cleveland but struggled early, hitting .178 in 45 at-bats. Since being sent down to the Triple-A Columbus Clippers, he's gone 38 for 151 with two home runs and 18 RBI.
Chisenhall will be placed on the 15-day disabled list, but is expected to be out for the foreseeable future. He suffered his broken arm during Friday's game against the Orioles when he was struck by a Troy Patton pitch in the fifth inning.
