Indians Vs. Rays Final Score: Cleveland Kicks Off Series With 3-2 Win

Cleveland pitcher Zach McAllister picked up his third victory in four appearances on Monday evening down in Florida, as the Indians slid past Tampa Bay 3-2 to open up their four-game set.

The 24-year-old McAllister yielded just three hits through six innings of one-run ball to move to 4-1 on the season, lowering his overall ERA to 3.17 in the process. Although he was drilled on the arm in the fourth inning by a line drive from the bat of Jeff Keppinger, which ironically would end up being the only run he allowed, McAllister remained in the game to retire eight of his final nine batters faced.

Offensively, things were once again powered by leadoff hitter Shin-Soo Choo, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two of his team's three runs. The red-hot outifielder raised his on-base percentage to an impressive .382 for the year, and even snagged his 10th stolen base and 35th RBI.

The Indians will try to keep things rolling down in Tampa on Tuesday for game two with Josh Tomlin scheduled to take the mound. Be sure to stay with SB Nation Cleveland for full coverage throughout the series.
