The Cleveland Indians lost to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays Tuesday night by a final score of 4-2. Josh Tomlin takes the loss for the Indians, giving up seven hits, four runs and one walk while striking out one over 5.2 innings.
Tampa Bay took a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first on a two run home run by Carlos Pena and an RBI triple from Luke Scott, and that was more than Cleveland's offense could answer. The Tribe picked up only four hits on the night. Tampa Bay starting pitcher Matt Moore had control issues, walking five, but the Indians were unable to take advantage. They were 1-5 with runners in scoring position and left seven men on base.
The four game series now stands tied at one game each. Game 3 of the series is scheduled for Wednesday night at 7:10 p.m. ET.
