On Tuesday night, the Cleveland Indians will open a three-game set against the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium.

The Indians will be entering the series on the back of a disappointing sweep at the hand's of the Minnesota Twins, which saw the Tribe outscored by a shocking margin of 28-6. The club currently sits five games back of first place for the American League Central and 5.5 games back of a WIld Card berth, which has some speculating that the team may make moves prior to Tuesday's 4 p.m. non-waiver trade deadline.

However, the set against the Royals may be the team's best bet to get back into both playoff races.

The Royals will be entering the series on the back of a sweep at the hands of the Seattle Mariners, have lost their last five straight and are 4-13 since the All-Star break.

The probable starters for Tuesday are Derek Lowe for the Indians (8-9, 5.09 ERA) and Luke Hochevar for the Royals (6-9, 5.26 ERA).
