Hoping to slow down one of the hottest teams in baseball at the moment, the Cleveland Indians will look to right-hander Zach McAllister on Tuesday evening in the second game of their series with Oakland.
The Athletics enter with a modest three-game winning streak to their credit, but have actually waked away victorious in nine of their 11 previous outings. Much of this success has been due to a dominant starting rotation, as Oakland pitchers currently sport the fourth-lowest team ERA in the majors at 3.46.
Cleveland plans to employ its usual lineup on Tuesday against Oakland lefty Tommy Milone, a youngster who has been hit almost identically by opponents from either side of the plate this season (.258 average vs. left, .257 vs. right). With his team searching for offense at every turn, manager Manny Acta will need to hope that his duo of Asdrubal Cabrera and Michael Brantley (each is 2-for-3 vs. Milone in their career) can once again get the better of Oakland's left-hander at the plate.
