The Cleveland Indians would certainly like to win Wednesday night's game vs. the Oakland Athletics, but they'll have to score a run first. The Indians have been blanked in two straight games, and dating back to Sunday's loss to the New York Yankees, they haven't scored a run in 24 innings.
A's pitcher Travis Blackley will be the one looking to extend that streak. In 18 appearances (11 starts) for the A's this year, Blackley has posted a 3.52 ERA and 1.10 WHIP while striking out 56 batters in 84.1 innings. Blackley though, has been much better in Oakland this year -- his road ERA is over a full run higher on the road.
The Indians will counter with Corey Kluber, who's making his sixths start of the season. Despite his 5.32 ERA on the year, Kluber has been solid in his last two starts, giving up only a single earned runs in 10 innings.
Game date/time: Wednesday, Aug. 29, 7:05 p.m. ET
Location: Progressive Field, Cleveland, Ohio
