Indians Vs. Tigers: Cleveland Drops Seventh Straight, 10-2

Make it seven straight for the Cleveland Indians. The Detroit Tigers took advantage of a struggling Justin Masterson on their way to a lopsided 10-2 win on Friday night, the opening game of a weekend series between the AL Central rivals.

Masterson made it through the first two innings fine, before things started to fall apart in the third. He gave up a two-run double to Prince Fielder, who had the pitcher's number. Fielder got to Masterson again in the fourth inning with a two-run homer that capped off a four-run inning and ended Masterson's night on the mound. It was the second straight loss for Masterson, who gave up seven runs before it was all said and done.

Cleveland did manage nine hits, but was a woeful 1-for-10 with runners in scoring position.

The Indians get a chance to break the cycle on Saturday night at 7:05 p.m.
