Blue Jackets Vs. Bruins: Columbus Trying To End Boston Win Streak

The Columbus Blue Jackets are having a pretty dismal season as they've posted a victory in just three of their first 17 games, but the season is still early. The Blue Jackets could pick up quite a bit of momentum on Thursday night, too, as they try to put a stop to the Boston Bruins' six-game winning streak.

The Blue Jackets will be missing forward Kristian Huselius and defenseman Radek Martinek due to injury once again, leaving them to rely on Vinny Prospal and Rick Nash. Prospal has 14 points in 17 games while having a pretty solid +/-, at least considering the team's record, at just -3. Nash has scored four goals and eight assists, good for second-best on Columbus's roster, but his +/- is less than desirable at -12.

The Bruins brought home a six-game winning streak led by Tyler Seguin, Milan Lucic and Brad Marchand. Seguin has 20 points in 16 games, Lucic is second on the club with 14 and Marchand has 13 points after scoring either a goal or an assist in Boston's last six games.
