The Columbus Blue Jackets are looking to make it two straight wins when they host the Washington Capitals on Saturday night.
That might sound like an extremely modest winning streak, but for Columbus, it would be something welcome and new: The Capitals have not won back-to-back games in more than a month. The last time the Blue Jackets won two in a row was when they beat the Nashville Predators and Calgary Flames back on Nov. 19 and Nov. 21. Columbus is coming off a 4-1 win on the road over the Dallas Stars.
In order to keep the good times rolling, the Blue Jackets will need to try to stop Alex Ovechkin, who has four goals and three assists in the team's last five games, including two goals in a 3-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres on Friday.
Tonight will mark the first matchup of the season between the teams. The game is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. eastern time.
