The 3-1 Springfield Falcons have a tough weekend ahead, as they are set to play a back-to-back-to-back. The Falcons visit the Providence Bruins on Friday before coming home for two games against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and Portland Pirates.
Springfield won their first three games of the season rather handily before falling to Providence, the Boston Bruins' affiliate, last weekend. The Falcons have been led by Jonathan Audy-Marchessault and Cam Atkinson, two of the Columbus Blue Jackets' top prospects.
Springfield will be looking for a little revenge when they visit Providence on Friday. The Bruins have started the season 2-2. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. ET.
On Saturday, Springfield hosts Bridgeport, the affiliate of the New York Islanders. The Sound Tigers are off to a 3-0 start. The game is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.
In the third game of the weekend, Springfield welcomes in Portland, the Phoenix Coyotes' affiliate. The Pirates have started the year 2-3, but they boast a powerful offensive attack led by Alexandre Bolduc. They also feature Oliver Ekman-Larsson, who saw a lot of action in Phoenix last year, on the back end. Sunday's game is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. ET.
