Dynamo Minsk is currently leading the Kontinental Hockey League with 45 points and, while no players from the Columbus Blue Jackets are on the Dynamo roster, a few Blue Jackets playing in the KHL are in playoff contention.

Third to Dynamo in the KHL's Western Conference is Lokomotiv Yaroslavl whose roster includes Blue Jackets center Artem Anisimov. Lokomotive currently has 42 points, which puts them three behind Dynamo and the third-most in the KHL.

SKA St. Petersburg is sandwiched in between Dynamo and Lokomotiv with 43 points. Columbus goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky has helped SKA rack up the points, winning six of the eight games he's played in. Bobrovsky has accounted for nearly half of SKA's 14 wins.

While not quite at the level of his two teammates, Nikita Nikitin has also found success playing for Avangard Omsk. Avangard is in contention in the Eastern Conference with 38 points. It trails Traktor, which currently leads the conference with 41 points.
