The Columbus Blue Jackets host the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday afternoon on a Central Division tilt at Nationwide Arena. The puck drops at 1:00pm with both teams looking for their second consecutive win.
Columbus remains in the cellar of the NHL with just 40 points in 58 games, but the Blue Jackets have won four of their last six games. Goaltender Steve Mason has been great in those wins taking over for the injured Curtis Sanford in the net, but Mason needs to bring some consistency for the Blue Jackets to really begin turning things around.
Chicago has no interest in the struggles facing Columbus this season as the Blackhawks have had their own problems of late. Chicago snapped a nine-game losing streak on Thursday with their 4-2 win over the New York Rangers as they ambushed the Rangers with four first-period goals.
Chicago is 4-0 against the Blue Jackets so far this season including a 6-3 win in their last visit to Columbus.
