The Columbus Blue Jackets will host the surging Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday.
Chicago comes in 7-2-1 over its last 10 and has won its last two by a combined 9-3. On the season, Chicago is sixth place in the West with a 40-25-8 record -- and that despite a nine-game losing streak that spanned January and February.
The Blue Jackets, like they have been much of the season, are in a rough patch. They lost four in a row before notching a shootout victory over Calgary on Sunday. Columbus is 23-42-7 overall and is still the only team in the league to have been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.
This is the sixth and final game of the season series. Chicago is 5-0 and has outscored Columbus 26-9, scoring at least four goals in each game.
On the injury front, Radek Martinek (post-concussion symptoms) and Marc Methot (jaw) will miss the rest of the season, while Fedor Tyutin (hand) and Kristian Huselius (lower body) are out indefinitely. Derek MacKenzie (upper body) is "week-to-week."
The game starts at 7 ET and will air on Fox Sports Ohio.
