Immediately after a big sporting event ends, you can usually expect to find betting odds for next year's version right away. In that regard, the 2013 Stanley Cup odds were released by Bovada right after the Los Angeles Kings took home the Stanley Cup.
Nobody would accuse the Columbus Blue Jackets of having a good year in 2011/2012, ending up with the league's worst record even with a late season push that saw them finally winning games regularly. It's no surprise then that the Blue Jackets are tied for the worst odds in the NHL to take home the cup next year with dismal 75/1 odds. They are tied with the Minnesota Wild and the New York Islanders in the basement of the odds.
Pittsburgh and the defending champion Kings are the top two dogs in the race according to the oddsmakers, with 7/1 and 11/1 odds respectively. Three of the Blue Jackets' division rivals are tied with 12/1 odds right below that -- St. Louis, Chicago and Detroit.
