Blue Jackets Preseason Schedule For 2012 Announced

The Columbus Blue Jackets announced the team's preseason schedule on Wednesday afternoon.

On Wednesday afternoon the Columbus Blue Jackets announced the team's preseason schedule for the 2012-13 season, which will consist of nine games against five different opponents including the Buffalo Sabres, Carolina Hurricanes, Pittsburgh Penguins, Toronto Maple Leafs and Washington Capitals.

The Blue Jackets will host four home games at the Nationwide Arena and will participate in two road games, which will be in non-traditional hockey markets (one of which will be a split squad game against the Capitals on Sept. 26).

Monday, September 24: PITTSBURGH PENGUINS NATIONWIDE ARENA, 7 p.m. ET

Wednesday, September 26: CAROLINA HURRICANES* NATIONWIDE ARENA, 7 p.m. ET

vs. Washington Capitals* 1st Mariner Arena, Baltimore, 7 p.m. ET

Saturday, September 29: at Pittsburgh Penguins CONSOL Energy Center, 3 p.m.

Monday, October 1: WASHINGTON CAPITALS NATIONWIDE ARENA, 7 p.m. ET

Tuesday, October 2: BUFFALO SABRES NATIONWIDE ARENA, 7 p.m. ET

Wednesday, October 3: vs. Toronto Maple Leafs Stirling (Ontario) Recreation Centre, TBD

Friday, October 5: at Carolina Hurricanes PNC Arena, 7 p.m. ET

Saturday, October 6: at Buffalo Sabres First Niagara Center, 7 p.m. ET
