In Mock BCS Poll, ESPN Says Buckeyes #5

New, 1 comment

The first official BCS Standings release of the 2010 College Football season doesn’t come out until next week, but ESPN’s BCS Guru Brad Edwards has released his first ‘mock’ BCS Standings and Ohio State is nowhere near the top. In fact, Edwards projects the Buckeyes to be 5th, behind Boise State, Oregon, TCU and Oklahoma.

Edwards’s explains that while the flesh and bone voters in the polls think Ohio State is #1, the BCS-computers rank Ohio State just 10th.

Obviously there is still plenty of time in the season and the Buckeyes have tough games against Wisconsin, Iowa and, of course, Michigan yet to come.

“Though this is exactly what the BCS standings would look like if they came out today, this is not an indication of what they will look like several weeks from now if all these teams keep winning,” Edwards said.
