It's Auburn, Oregon In The Top-2 Spots. Boise State On Outside Looking In

Boise State is in a bit of trouble. The Broncos remained in 3rd place in the latest BCS Standings, passed over by Auburn’s 3-position jump to the top spot. The Tigers, who beat LSU on Saturday to move to 8-0 on the season, moved up from #4 and is in position to give the SEC their 5th-straight appearance in the national title game.

Oregon remained #2 after beating UCLA 60-13. It would be extrememly difficult for any team below the Ducks to pass them if they continue winning, so Oregon may have the best shot at landing in Glendale come January.

TCU was fourth and Michigan State fifth. The Spartans are 8-0, but would need help to get to a title game.

Wisconsin was 10th in the BCS with Ohio State sitting at 11th. Michigan State already has a win over the Badgers, and a normal quirk in the schedule means the Spartans don’t play the Buckeyes this season.

Iowa is at 18, giving the Big Ten four teams in the BCS Top-20.
