Hot Shooting Buckeyes In Control Of Big-Ten Showdown

The Purdue Boilermakers were supposed to be a test for the top-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes. So far, the Buckeyes basketball team has passed with flying colors. In a matchup of two of the top teams in the Big Ten, It’s Ohio State with a huge advantage, 46-26, over the Purdue Boilermakers at halftime at Value City Arena in Columbus.

Getting plenty of production from everywhere, the Buckeyes were led by freshman guard Aaron Craft with 9 points and 5 rebounds off the bench. Jon Diebler, from Sandusky, has 10 points while Jared Sullinger has been held to 4 points and 5 rebounds. It goes to show just how deep the Buckeyes are.

Three Buckeyes – David Lighty, William Buford and Deshaun Thomas – have seven points as Ohio State shot 56.7% from the field.

Purdue has struggled from the onset, shooting just 38.5% while being out-rebounded by the Buckeyes 19-10. Purdue is just 1-5 from three point range compared to Ohio State at 6-9.
