2011 Bowl Predictions: More Lower Tier Bowls Projected For Buckeyes

After Saturday's loss at Purdue all but ended any chances that Ohio State could keep their streak of six consecutive BCS bowl berths alive the Buckeyes are left wondering what their postseason destination will be. As more bowl projections come out, it looks more and more like Ohio State will be closer to the bottom int he Big Ten's selection order.

According to Jerry Palm at CBS Sports, the Buckeyes are now headed to the Gator Bowl to face the Florida Gators. This would be a rematch of the National Championship game that Florida won after the 2006 season.

The Buckeyes are not the only team from Ohio projected to play in the postseason according to CBS. Palm has the Toledo Rockets as the MAC's representative in the Little Caesar's Bowl against Penn State, which is a major surprise because the Nittany Lions currently lead the Leader's Division and that particular bowl game has the last pick of the eight Big Ten bowl tie-ins.

Palm also has the Ohio Bobcats headed to Boise to face Louisiana Tech in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.
