2011 Bowl Projections: Ohio State To Insight Bowl

Despite dropping a second straight bowl game, the appeal of a large Ohio State fan base still has the Buckeyes as a hot commodity for the bowl season. According to SB Nation's Jason Kirk, the Buckeyes are possibly headed to Florida to play in the the Gator Bowl:

The game would be a rematch of the 2006 BCS Championship game, and it could be between a pair of 6-6 teams as the Gators and Buckeyes are not favored in their final regular season contests against rivals Florida State and Michigan, respectively.

College Football News has a different projection for the Buckeyes, as it has them headed to the Insight Bowl to face Oklahoma, who was still in the National title discussion until Baylor upset them on Saturday.

Toledo and Ohio are also mentioned as possible postseason teams. According to Kirk, Toledo would go to the Famous Idaho Potato bowl against Nevada, while Ohio would head to Detroit to face Purdue in the Little Caesar's Pizza Pizza Bowl
