The Cleveland State Vikings have already made waves this season with an upset of then No. 7 Vanderbilt. Now they are getting some national respect as they enter this week as the No. 24 team in CBSSports' new top 25:
Gary Waters has Cleveland State off to a nice start that includes a win over Vanderbilt. He's going to make it difficult for Butler's Brad Stevens to win another Horizon League title.
The Vikings have a busy week ahead with road games at Kent State on Tuesday, then a weekend tour of the Northeast with games at Boston University on Friday, Hofstra on Saturday, and Rhode Island on Sunday.
The Ohio State Buckeyes have a week full of home games as they host North Florida tonight. Virginia Military Institute then comes to the Schott on Wednesday night, with Valparaiso visiting on Friday. Of those three teams, only Valparaiso was a postseason team last year, playing in the CBI.
