The No. 15 ranked prospect in the nation for the class of 2012 by Scout.com, Adolphus Washington, announced on Tuesday that he'd be attending Ohio State. Scout.com has Washington as a five-star recruit, while others have him ranked as a four-star, but he'll be Ohio States top recruit at this point. Ohio State, in the fact of much uncertainty on the coaching staff, is having trouble with their recruiting glass, but Washington is certainly a step in the right direction.

Major out of state recruits aren't interested and won't join the school based on its merit outside of the coaching staff - the program won't be the major selling point. Still, the class looks as though it will be ranked in the top 20 or so in the nation, which is below where Ohio State wants to be, but the chance remains that they'll be able to snag some players committed to other schools once they get a coaching staff in place.

The Buckeyes are getting a lot of competition from Michigan, who is taking advantage of all of the uncertainty going on at Ohio State by doing a lot of recruiting inside Ohio.
