Urban Meyer To Be Named Ohio State Coach After Michigan Game, According To Report

The rumors of Urban Meyer potentially taking over the job of head football coach for the Ohio State Buckeyes has been picking up steam, mostly due to the fact that the only other gig he's been significantly linked to was the Arizona Wildcats job, but that position has been filled. Now, Bill Greene of Scout.com has taken to Twitter to get into the fray:

Meyer and OSU reach deal. Formal announcement next week. Signs deal after Michigan. It's done.

Other credible sources have given this rumor some credence over the last week or so, but this one brings a bit more credibility to the table. Multiple sources went on to suggest that the two sides had been exchanging some numbers over the last two weeks, while some have even went as far as to claim that Meyer is assembling his assistant coaching staff.

On Monday, Meyer told the media that he hadn't been offered any job, nor has he been interviewed for any position. He did say that he was in a good place presently, and that if Ohio State specifically offered him a position, he'd have a decision to make. It's not official yet, but he might have made a decision, if this report holds true.
