With most schools around the country having Finals this week it means several college basketball programs are taking a mid-season break to concentrate on academics. Ohio State's schedule is not like that, as the Buckeyes will try to recover from their first loss this season with a home game Wednesday night against South Carolina-Upstate. The Spartans are relatively new to Division I, but they have started this year with a 6-4 record. They also recently played a close game with Dayton, losing by four on Sunday to the Flyers, who have had a solid start to the year.
That game is the only midweek game involving local teams, but Saturday the schedule gets back into full swing. The Buckeyes head on the road to face South Carolina at noon on Saturday on ESPN. It is the main game of a light Saturday involving Northeast Ohio teams:
Saturday
Ohio State at South Carolina noon, ESPN
Florida A&M at Akron 4 p.m.
