National Signing Day is tomorrow, and the Ohio State Buckeyes have all the makings of a solid class. What they are hoping, however, is to have a Top-3 class and Virginia high school linebacker Curtis Grant could make that happen.
Grant is rated high by most recruiting services, from as high as No. 2 at Rivals to No. 19 on Scout. According to Mike Farrell, a recruiting expert for Rivals, Grant has narrowed his choices down to Ohio State, North Carolina, Florida and Virginia.
“This kid looks like a junior in college already and he plays like a junior in college already. He runs so fast from sideline to sideline, he closes like crazy,” Farrell said. “If he goes there, he’d probably be the most athletic linebacker they’ve recruited over the last decade.”
That’s high praise considering the type of linebacker talent the Buckeyes have had over Jim Tressel’s tenure in Columbus.
Grant will make his decision tomorrow afternoon.
