The final undefeated team in college basketball fell today when the Wisconsin Badgers beat the Ohio State Buckeyes 71-67, rallying from a 15-point 2nd half deficit to beat the Buckeyes(24-1; 11-1). The Buckeyes took a 47-32 lead with 13:16 to go. From there, the Badgers battled back to stun the Buckeyes. Trailing 47-40 with 10:54 to go in the game, Wisconsin went on a 15-3 run that gave them a 20-8 run to take a 60-55 lead with 5 minutes to go, a lead they would never relinquish.
Jordan Taylor scored 27 points, 21 in the final 13 minutes, to ignite the Badgers rally. Wisconsin won their 17th straight home game and for the second time have knocked the Buckeyes from the ranks of the unbeaten while the Buckeyes were #1 in the country. Wisconsin did the same to Ohio State this fall when the Buckeyes were #1 in college football as well.
William Buford scored 21 points to lead Ohio State with Jared Sullinger adding 19 points and 12 rebounds in a losing effort. The Buckeyes come home to take on Michigan State at Value City Arena on Tuesday Night.
