Ohio State Football Recruiting: Quarterback Cardale Jones Picks Ohio State

National Signing Day for the Ohio State Buckeyes football recruits is here and the Letters of Intent are being faxed in as we speak. The Buckeyes picked up a local recruit this morning when Glenville quarterback Cardale Jones picked Ohio State over Toledo.

Jones has already declared he will 'grayshirt', a term used to describe a player that doesn't enroll until midyear.  Jones has said in the past he will attend a prep school for 6 months before heading to Ohio State.  Last year, Jones threw for 22 touchdowns and ran for 7 more.

Jones adds to a long list of Glenville players to choose Ohio State including Ted Ginn Jr. and former Heismann Trophy winner Troy Smith. The Buckeyes are also hoping to get good news from another Glenville star – offensive lineman Aundrey Walker.
