National Signing Day: Five More Signed For Growing Ohio State Football Recruiting Class

Ohio State football is seeing a mid-morning run on National Signing Day with five more recruits in the fold in the last 30 minutes. Offensive linemen Brian Bobek and Tommy Brown, defensive ends Chase Farris and Steve Miller, wide receiver Evan Spencer and defensive back Doran Grant have all sent their signed letters of intent to the Buckeyes.

Here is a bit on each:

Brian Bobek, OL, 6-2, 280, Palatine (Fremd), Ill.
Ranked No. 3 center nationally by Rivals.com and the No. 250 overall prospect. Scout.com considers him the nation’s top center. A four-star prospect in both rankings.

Tommy Brown, OL, 6-5, 330, Akron (Firestone) Ohio
Ranked the No. 44 offensive guard nationally by Rivals.com, and the No. 83 offensive tackle by Scout.com. Both have him as a three-star prospect.

Chase Farris, DE, 6-6, 265, Elyria, Ohio
Rated the No. 11 strong-side defensive end nationally by Rivals.com, and the No. 142 recruit overall. Scout.com ranks him the nation’s No. 10 defensive tackle. A four-star prospect in both ratings.

Doran Grant, DB, 5-11, 178, Akron (St. Vincent-St. Mary) Ohio
A big January commit, Grant is rated the No. 7 cornerback nationally by Rivals.com and the No. 102 prospect overall. Scout.com rated him the No. 5 corner nationally. Rated a four-star prospect by both services.

Steve Miller, DE, 6-4, 235 Canton (McKinley)
He committed to Ohio State back in October 2009. Rivals rated him the No.7 weakside DE prospect nationally.

Evan Spencer, WR, 6-1, 190 Vernon Hills, Ill.
He was ranked 19th among receiver prospects nationally by Scout.com, 51st by rivals.com.
