National Signing Day: Virginia Linebacker Curtis Grant Picks Ohio State Buckeyes

The #3 ranked linebacker prospect in the country according to ESPN has chosen the Ohio State Buckeyes. Curtis Grant, a linebacker from Richmond, VA just selected Ohio State over offers from Florida and Virginia.

“I felt the most love from Ohio State” said Grant during an interview on ESPNU.

Grant possesses the excellent athleticism necessary to get to the football vs. both the run and pass. His size is what we like to see for the outside linebacker position at the major level of competition.

This is a very flexible, smooth athlete; is more productive when pursuing laterally, although will take on blockers vs. the inside run; works at being a physical player with some success but must improve his ability to hand shiver and shed in 1 on 1 situations.

ESPN had Grant ranked as the #46 overall prospect in the country and Grant’s signing should solidify the Buckeyes status as a Top-10 recruiting class.
