Ohio State vs. Purdue score: Buckeyes trail 13-7 at halftime

The normally explosive Ohio State Buckeyes sputtered offensively throughout the majority of the first half, and they trail the Purdue Boilermakers 13-7 heading into halftime.

Ohio State finished the half with just 101 yards of total offense. Buckeyes' star quarterback Braxton Miller struggled both passing and running the ball, producing only 56 total yards.

Purdue threatened to go up two scores when they embarked on a long drive early in the second quarter that carried over from the first. However, the drive, which spanned 19 plays and 85 yards, ended with an interception in the end zone on an ill-advised pass by quarterback Caleb TerBush. Ohio State was unable to capitalize on the momentum from the turnover, as Purdue's defense continued to hold the Buckeyes in check.

Besides the bad interception, TerBush performed well in the first half. He went for 8-of-14 passing for 124 yards.

Purdue had another chance to go up two scores late in the first half, but kicker Paul Griggs missed a 52-yard field goal.
