The Ohio St. Buckeyes' Aaron Craft and Deshaun Thomas were named to the 2012-13 Preseason All Big Ten Team, selected by members of the conference media. Craft, a point guard, and Thomas, a forward, are joined on the team by Indiana's Cody Zeller, Michigan's Trey Burke, and Penn State's Tim Frazier. Zeller was also voted as the Big Ten Preseason Player of the Year.
Craft and Thomas both were named to the All Big Ten team last year, and Craft was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year. Craft averaged 8.8 points , 4.6 assists, 3.2 rebounds , and an impressive 2.5 steals per game in 2011-12. Thomas averaged 15.9 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.
The media also picked Ohio State to finish third in the conference this season, behind Indiana and Michigan. The Buckeyes finished in a three way tie for first place in the conference in 2011-12, and went all the way to the Final Four before falling to Kansas.
