Ohio State vs. Penn State score update: Buckeyes lead 28-10 after three quarters

Three third quarter touchdowns have given the Ohio State Buckeyes a 28-10 lead over Penn State after three quarters.

Ohio State took its first lead of the game on the opening possession of the third quarter when Ryan Shazier intercepted Matthew McGloin for 17-yards for the score to put the Buckeyes ahead, 14-7.

Penn State answered with a 27-yard field goal by Sam Ficken which concluded a 9-play, 72-yard drive and cut Ohio State's lead to 14-10 with 9:50 remaining in the third quarter.

The Nittany Lions immediately got the ball back when Adrian Amos intercepted Braxton Miller, but they turned the ball over on downs in Ohio State territory for the second time in the game when they failed to convert 4th-and-9 from the OSU 43-yard line.

After the turnover on downs, Miller led a 10-play, 57-yard drive that he concluded with a 1-yard touchdown run to extend Ohio State's lead to 21-10 with 3:30 left in the third quarter.

The Ohio State defense forced a three-and-out on the ensuing Penn State possession and Miller again concluded a long drive with a 1-yard touchdown run to put the Buckeyes ahead 28-10.

Miller is 6-of-17 passing for 71 yards and one interception while rushing 21 times for 108 yards and two touchdowns.
