Ohio State remains undefeated in Big Ten play and overall, defeating the Penn State Nittany Lions 35-23 in Beaver Stadium to move to 9-0 and 5-0 in the Big Ten . Buckeye quarterback Braxton Miller led the team with his legs as well as his throwing arm. The sophomore rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries, and threw for 143 yards and another touchdown as well. Jake Stoneburner was Miller's favorite receiver, collecting 86 yards receiving and a touchdown while Carlos Hyde chipped in 55 yards rushing and one touchdown.
Penn State quarterback Matt McGloin had a strong day through the air, picking up 327 yards while completing 27 of his 45 pass attempts. McGloin tossed two touchdowns, but had an interception as well. Freshman tight end Kyle Carter had seven receptions for 77 yards and one touchdown, while Brandon Moseby-Felder caught four passes for 70 yards.
