Nebraska vs. Ohio State: Ohio State leads at halftime after a wild second quarter

Ohio State leads Nebraska, 35-24, after a wild second quarter. The Huskers led, 14-7, after one period, but the Buckeyes' offense exploded for 28 points to give them the lead at halftime.

The Huskers opened the scoring in the second quarter when Brett Maher kicked a 26-yard field goal. The Huskers started that drive with great field position after Ohio State failed to convert a fourth down from their own 25-yard line.

The Buckeyes' offense responded with a pair of touchdowns to take the lead. Carlos Hyde punched the first in from a yard out after this Braxton Miller 72-yard run:

The Buckeyes scored again when Miller found Jeff Heuerman for an 18-yard touchdown. The two-play drive started at the Nebraska 20 after Bradley Roby intercepted his second pass of the game, and the score put Ohio State up, 21-17.

Nebraska responded as Taylor Martinez ran the ball into the end zone from the nine yard line. The drive was highlighted by a 74-yard pass from Martinez to Kenny Bell.

Ohio State re-took the lead when Hyde rushed for his second touchdown of the quarter. This touchdown came from seven yards out. Miller would add a 30-yard touchdown run before the second quarter closed, taking the Ohio State lead to 35-24 at halftime.

Ohio State got the ball to start the game, so they'll be kicking off to start the second half.
