The Ohio State Buckeyes have announced alternate "rivalry" uniforms for their game against the Michigan Wolverines to wrap up their season on Saturday. There were plenty of leaks about the new uniforms, but nobody has been able to get a really good picture of them just yet. They will be revealed at a Beat Blue pep rally on Monday at the Ohio Union.
As noted by Land-Grant Holy Land and Jeff Svoboda on Twitter, the jerseys will be scarlet and will have large gray numbers. There will be black stripes on the sleeves and a wiper helmet stripe, though it's unclear if that helmet stripe will be gray or black.
The Ohio State athletic department issued a release on Monday to confirm the existence of the uniforms. The uniform will be part of, or closely related to, the Nike Pro Combat Rivalry line. This release lacks all of the hype and promotion that generally comes from Nike for those uniforms, however.
