College Football Schedule 2012: Michigan vs. Ohio State highlights rivalry weekend in Big Ten

Buckeyes try to complete undefeated season against rival Wolverines

Greg Bartram-US PRESSWIRE

The Ohio State Buckeyes (11-0) will try to complete an undefeated season when they host the No. 19 Michigan Wolverines (8-3) on Saturday at Ohio Stadium.

The Buckeyes can only ponder what might have been as their unblemished record would have them in the hunt for a BCS championship were they not ineligible for post-season play. As it is, Ohio State's season will come to an abrupt end after playing Michigan and only leave AP voters with an option to vote for if no undefeated teams remain among the eligible BCS teams. Ohio State currently ranks No. 4 in the AP Top 25 poll.

Michigan enters the game trying to keep their Big Ten championship and BCS bowl hopes alive. The Wolverines need to beat the Buckeyes and then have Iowa beat Nebraska to win the Big Ten Legends division and earn a spot in the Big Ten Championship game.
