The four main recruiting services — Rivals, Scout, 24/7 and ESPN — have all dubbed Ohio State’s Signing Day haul as among the top six in the nation. The best ranking was No. 3 (Scout), the lowest No. 6 (ESPN).
Either way, Urban Meyer’s first Signing Day in Columbus will go down as a success.
The 2012 Class is headlined by five-star defensive ends Noah Spence and Adolphus Washington, who are rated Nos. 1 and 2, respectively, at weakside D-end in the country.
Other standouts include Tommy Schutt, the 6th-ranked defensive tackle; Camren Williams, the 8th-ranked safety; Se’von Pittman, the 8th-ranked weakside defensive end; Bri’onte Dunn, the 11th-ranked running back (all rankings according to Rivals).
