The Ohio State Buckeyes suffered a major, major setback during the weekend when they fell to the Michigan Wolverines. It was only their fourth loss in Big Ten play, but it tied them in the Big Ten standings with the Wolverines and put them a game below the surging Michigan State Spartans. Unfortunately for the Buckeyes, two of their last four games are against fellow ranked competition, including a game against the Spartans.
Ohio State have a chance to redeem themselves on Tuesday in their first of two games this week when they take on the Illinois Fighting Illini at 7 PM ET. Fortunately for Ohio State, it should be a good chance to rebound for them since Illinois are only 5-9 and third from the bottom in the Big Ten.
The Cleveland State Vikings are 1.5 games back in the Horizon conference after being toppled by Valparaiso, and only have three games left to make it up. They play next on Tuesday against the Green Bay Phoenix, who they beat 78-68 the last time they met. Cleveland are on a four game losing streak going into the Phoenix game. The game will be at 8 PM ET.
Akron suffered their first loss in a long while against Oral Roberts last week, but still have a stranglehold on the MAC. The Zips can get back to their winning ways against the Bowling Green on Wednesday at 7 PM ET.
